We had a make your own salad bar. I have been craving a salad for a few days. I bought some chicken at Costco. Bags of Romain and Spinach from Super Wal-Mart. The Strawberries and Blueberries were on sale too. I boiled eggs when I got home (although I did not have them in my salad) and I topped my salad off with some grated cheese and Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing.
This is our favorite Banana Bread Recipe. I have no idea where I got it. It is 20+ years old.
It makes two loaves.
½ C Butter
2 C Sugar
2 TSP Vanilla
4 Eggs
4 over ripe mashed bananas
3 C Flour
2 TSP Baking Powder
Heat oven to 375 F. Grease and flour bread pans.
Cream together butter and sugar well. Add Vanilla. Beat in eggs. Mix in bananas. Mix in dry ingredients. It will be a thick batter. Divide and pour into each prepared Pan. Bake at 375 F for 45 min or until done.
Summer is in full swing at our house. The temp today is 103. Sorry I have not posted at all, in many days!
We have been in the yard. We hung up our first ever hummingbird feeder. I am waiting for the little guys to come eat and I will snap some photos of them and share them.
My Mom and brother moved from Utah to California. This has been a big deal. Lots of adjusting.
My Mom gave me all the family photo albums and shoes boxes of loose photos. I am going through and scanning, editing and correcting the imperfection and scratches. When the it is too hot outside, this is how I will stay busy this summer :- }
