Making Cream Cheese Mints

Cream Cheese Mints

  • 1  (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/4  cup  butter, softened
  • 1  (2-pound) package powdered sugar
  • 1/2  teaspoon  peppermint extract
  • liquid food coloring (optional)

Preparation

Cook cream cheese and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth. Gradually stir in package of powdered sugar; stir in extract. If desired, divide mixture into 3 portions; stir drops of coloring into portions and knead well.

We roll out the dough and use an old tiny Tupperware cutter. Michaels and Joanne’s sell candy cookie cutters in the cake/candy section.

We also use candy molds.

Looking at Chrsitmas Lights

Tonight we are going to drive around and look at Christmas lights.

We are taking our own coffee mugs with hot chocolate in them and I made everyone a little goody bag for the drive!3dental-and-night-christmas-lights-driving-057-copy

Christmas Time

Last Saturday we drove up to the mountains to cut our own Christmas tree. Turns out you yell “cutter” when you find one you want. The guys wrapped it and even tied it to our van’s roof. McGee’s Christmas Tree’s in Apple Hill! Excellent customer service.

Field Trip

You are never to old to go on a field trip and improve your education. It is always wonderful to go to a new country and see the sights.

Alisha went with 39 Japanese exchange students via bus to the Sacramento State Capitol for a tour, lunch and some shopping!

Alisha had hours and hours to speak Japanese! She had such a great time!
