I made this recipe. I am sure it has been done before in a similar way, but I was tryng to use what I had in the house. Everyone loved it!
Chicken and Rice
1 C. water
3 C. rice
1/2 C. garlic
1 large can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 small can cheddar cheese soup
1 cup of milk or fill the cheese soup can when empty
My dish had the following for chicken.
8 pieces of boneless chicken thighs
3 pieces bonless breast (because 3 people out of 9 like white meat)
I think my pan might 12 x 15. It is BIG. I lined it with tin foil (non stick).
In a mixing bowl add both soups and milk. Mix together and set aside.
Pour in the rice and add 1 C of water. Arrange chicken pieces on rice. Take about 1 T of garlic and spread on each piece of chicken. Place remaining garlic around edges on the pan on rice.
Spoon soup mixture over chicken and rice. Cover with tin foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
