Wonderful Weekend

I am getting all kinds of ideas for photography this weekend. Not for a business or anything like that. Just improving my skills. My 2 daughters both are very talented when it comes to artistic things. They have been telling me this weekend “Mom, shoot like this”  & “Try this angle”. We use to go to the mall and bond, haha. Now we do photography :- }

Today’s Photo

Our family went for a drive out to Lockford Ca. We stopped and took some photos here and there.
I took this photo outside a little thrift store.

Cookie Dough Brownie

Our 4th child, a dear sweet girl, wanted to spread her baking wings. She came to me with this recipe from the web site  Lovin from The Oven. She and all of us were thrilled with the results!

Brownie:

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup AP flour

½ cup cocoa

½ teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9×13 pan.

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Once melted remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Blend together.

In separate bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, and salt. Add dry mixture to the wet and mix well.

Pour into greased pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let cool completely.

Cookie Dough

1-1/2 sticks butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup sugar

4-1/2 tbsp milk

1-1/2 cups flour

1-1/2 cups mini chocolate chips.

Combine the butter, sugars, milk and flour until well combined. Then stir in the mini chocolate chips.

Spread the cookie dough on the cooled brownies.

Then chill the brownies until the cookie dough is firm. Cut into bars and serve.

Vintage Cameras

I woke-up early to make my husband breakfast. It’s Valentine’s Day! But that was not the reason for a good meal to start the day. He had a job interview (5th in 6 months) at a staffing agency. Unemployment sucks. Unemployment with kids sucks even more.

Anyway, got him out the door and the morning light was so pretty. I have been wanting to shoot these cameras for a while and today seemed like a great day to do it. These cameras are family hand me downs. They are part of my daughters collection.
